Restarted running with the Lumo run sensor every single day. I am testing it rigorously not just by having a fun user experience and learning how to run, but by comparing the stats of other devices too. At this moment, I am gonna use only cadence as a data goes, but I am waiting for an ANT+ Garmin HRM run and a Wahoo TickR Run to compare it to. Will se how it holds up, but in advance I can tell yo that it is pretty epic, what this small unnoticeable Lumo pod can do to your running form.
Wife scrambling up a boulder. Yes, we had some good moments out in our national park near the house. This is where I test all the gear I get for reviewing. Very abrasive terrain, with super sharp rocks, roots and stingy vegetation.

I also started testing a couple of lamps from BB. I mean testing, what can you really test from a lamp? They are strong, they are good, they are easy on the eye and it makes a big difference to ride all out for an hour with 2700lumens ahead of you, than with a 180lumen headtorch. I went out on an epic technical cyclocross ride 5am. Wild boars were jumping across the road and hunters were preparing for the morning kill session. I used 1.8bars in the 700 x 40 rigid, slick tyres. They held up very well against all the sharp elements. Though grip wise, I had to stay in he saddle to make sure I don't slip. In "danceuse" the rear wheel would be just rolling under me while not advancing forward.

Riding with the Peugeot Ventoux, was also a phenomenal experience. I left my cycling shoes at home and I was not willing to ride 20km to work with normal shoes and clip in pedals. It would have been a misery, when your feet are sliding off the pedal all the time. My "bagett bike" is nearly ready for riding, I just need the break hoods for an old Shimano Exage what is impossible to get and a couple of cable end plugs. I inflated the tires, added flat pedals in a second and off I went. So the breaks on it are very small what makes riding on the hoods very unpleasant. IT feels like you're gonna slip off on the front end anytime. I would like to find probably a few other parts in the near future to replace for instance the front fork with a 1inch A-Head set fork, isntead of using the tradition, non-bearing, simple ball cage wine-cork headset, big break levers like an ultegra, but without shifting possibility and maybe to change the whole Duraileur system to something more climbable. The rear shifters are adjustable to have the clicking or not to, so I think it would work with eleven speed, just have to hack it a bit, but the front shifter is two speed, so I might change the square taper bb to a single speed 42 ring.

The new Sony XZ just came out. It boasts waterproofness and a 23megapixel camera. As reviews go at this moment, it is not necessarily better in case of overall phone fitness then a 13megapixel Samsung Galaxy 7 and anyways we always check our photos online, on a phone, tablet or computer. Noone prints anymore or checks photos on the TV. Photos became immediate forgettable memories on Facebook. The other thing is mindset and productivity and social media present. Every moment counts and gotto grab it. Something interesting happening, snap it share it. Hashtag it.

I finished my first training week after 2 weeks of total pause. I of course was riding my bike and doing a lot of yoga for that two weeks, but no running, no hiking, no walking. I feel epic and more is coming. Strength training and rowing also was a big part of this weeks training. I rely wanted to test out some gear, but some of them did not work, so you won't hear about them at all, some of them functioned only with apple phones and I have only a tablet, what is not for running.

Summary of last weeks training:
